[18] | Miter range is 50° each way, with stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6° and 45°. Bevel limits differ: 48° left and 45° right. [21] | Transport handles and a locking device accompany a 27/36mm extraction connection. Festool’s UG-KS 60 underframe requires the UG-AD-KS 60 adapter plate for this saw; both are separate. Confirm nested-crown capacity and assembled weight with the intended batteries instead of assuming corded-KAPEX capacities. [24] | RYOBI lists A18MS01G Universal Miter Saw QuickSTAND alongside this saw; confirm its brackets and setup before buying. Maximum nested-crown and upright-baseboard sizes, dust-hose fit and carrying weight were not established in the retained page. Buyers with large trim should confirm those details rather than relying on blade diameter. [27] | Bevel range is 48° each way, with stops at 0°, 33.9°, 45° and 48°. Confirm maximum nested-crown and upright-baseboard dimensions for your profile. Exact carrying weight, stand compatibility and dust-hose diameter were not established here; plan those separately. This is R4113, distinct from RIDGID’s R4241 slider. [30] |
Match capacity to the trim orientation
Compare height and width together at the angle you need. DEWALT’s manual gives 13.75-inch width at 3-inch height square, while Bosch gives 13.5-inch width at 3.5-inch height. Makita’s retained specification gives 12-inch width at 2-13/16-inch height. SKIL and RIDGID describe nominal lumber sizes instead; do not read “2×12” as a literal 12-inch width. [2] [8] [5] [20] [29]
Nested crown and upright baseboard need different checks from flat boards. Bosch specifies different crown limits for 38° and 45° spring angles; DEWALT’s manual identifies baseboard height and thickness at 45° miters. Milwaukee calls for a separate crown stop. Confirm profile, spring angle and required accessories before relying on a headline crown size. [9] [3] [12]
Dual bevel does not imply equal cutting capacity on each side. Bosch, Milwaukee, Metabo HPT and KSC 60 document different left/right bevel heights. SKIL’s travel is 48° left but 45° right; RYOBI’s selected saw is single bevel. Pick the actual angle and orientation rather than choosing only by blade size. [8] [11] [14] [23] [21] [26] [25]
Plan the bench, stand and extraction setup
For limited rear space, Makita describes flush-wall operation and Festool KS 120 a rail-forward design. Bosch uses its Axial-Glide mechanism. Compare the full operating footprint with space for long trim, then plan carrying and mounting. Makita lists 57.9lb net, Bosch 65lb and Metabo HPT 54.9lb net; those figures exclude a stand and extraction equipment. [4] [6] [16] [7] [13]
Stand details matter. Bosch lists T1B, T4B and GTA3800. DEWALT lists DWX723, DWX724 and DWX726. Milwaukee’s separate 48-08-0551 includes mounting brackets, while KSC 60 needs the UG-AD-KS 60 plate with the UG-KS 60 frame. Confirm mounting hardware and full-package contents; a saw’s workpiece clamp or side extensions are not a stand. [9] [3] [12] [24]
A dust bag or port is an extraction provision, not a measured capture result. DEWALT documents AirLock, Festool lists 27/36mm connections, and Bosch specifies compatible adapters while excluding VAC002. Hose dimensions and stand fit were not established for every pick, so confirm those exact connections before purchase. Cordless Milwaukee, RYOBI and KSC 60 selections also need separate battery and charger purchases. [3] [18] [24] [9] [21] [27] [30] [10] [25] [22]
How we compared.
Source-based comparison of official US product pages and manuals read October 3, 2026, with a focused reading of Pro Tool Reviews’ SKIL MS6305-00 review. That review described a deep operating footprint and extensions locked with Allen screws; those attributed observations informed our emphasis on complete setup and clearance. It is one review, not owner consensus. DEWALT leads for its stated nested-crown capacity and angle-specific crosscuts; other picks emphasize compact motion, adjustment controls or existing cordless platforms. We have not tested cutting precision, finish, speed, dust capture, runtime or safety outcomes. Capacities are manufacturer statements, and ranking is independent of commission.
