Choose where you want to enter text

Start with the device you want to use. PT-D460BT offers keyboard, computer and mobile input; PT-D410 combines a keyboard with USB. CUBE Plus uses a connected device. For labels typed at the machine, PT-D220 and PT-H110 are alternatives. [11] [4] [8] [1] [14]

Measure the space before choosing tape

PT-D220, PT-H110 and CUBE take labels up to 12 mm wide. PT-D410, PT-D460BT and LW-PX300 extend to 18 mm; CUBE Plus, LW-C610PX and LW-PX400 reach 24 mm. CUBE XP reaches 36 mm for wider layouts. Measure a representative bin or folder before deciding. [2] [15] [18] [5] [12] [27] [9] [24] [30] [21]

Tape width and print height differ. PT-D410 specifies a maximum print height of 15.8 mm on 18 mm tape, with character size potentially smaller. Leave room for the margins in your layout. [7]

Match the cartridge to the printer

The Brother models here use TZe tape within their individual width limits. The Epson models use their listed LabelWorks supplies. Check the exact cartridge against the printer model, especially for specialty materials, and choose an adhesive suited to the surface. [2] [5] [9] [12] [15] [18] [21] [24] [27] [30]

Check the power source in your package

PT-D410, PT-D460BT, CUBE and LW-PX400 include an adapter in the US packages compared here. PT-D220, PT-H110 and the base LW-C610PX and LW-PX300 packages need a separate power supply. CUBE Plus and CUBE XP use lithium-ion batteries. Check the seller bundle before adding accessories. [6] [13] [19] [31] [3] [16] [25] [28] [10] [22]

Confirm software support before ordering

For connected models, check your exact operating system and the current manufacturer download or app. LW-PX400 also lists an ARM-processor software restriction. If you want to bring in label data, LW-PX300 lists no data import; choose the workflow as carefully as the tape width. [4] [11] [8] [17] [20] [23] [29] [26]
